
Lehigh Closes Out Three-Game Home Stand against Loyola

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball will close out its three-game home stand with a matchup against Loyola on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Stabler Arena.
The Mountain Hawks will look to bounce back after dropping three straight games. Lehigh is 8-4 (0-1 PL), and the Greyhounds are 5-7 (0-1 PL).
Lehigh's last two losses have come right down to the wire as the Mountain Hawks went to overtime against Rider but lost 67-57 after being outscored 15-5 in the final five minutes.
In Lehigh's game against American on Jan. 3, Ella Stemmer missed a potential game-tying three-pointer but could not get it to fall, which led to a 68-65 loss in the Patriot League opener.
In the last outing against American, Meghan O'Brien was just one rebound away from tallying the first double-double of her career as she finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. O'Brien leads the way on the glass, recording 7.2 rebounds per game.
Lily Fandre and Maddie Albrecht were the other two players to finish in double figures against the Eagles. Fandre had 13 points, and Albrecht tied her career-high with 11 points. Fandre has finished in double figures the last five games. She is averaging 12.7 points per game, which is second on the team in scoring.
Stemmer paces the way for the Mountain Hawks with a team-high of 17.3 points per game. The junior guard is averaging 3.50 made three-pointers per game, which ranks fourth in all of NCAA Division I women's basketball.
Loyola is coming off of a 73-65 loss to Colgate. Lex Therien recorded 27 points for the second straight game to lead the way.
Therien is averaging a double-double with 17.9 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game. Therien was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Jan. 2 after she recorded 27 points and 10 rebounds against Delaware State.
