BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's lacrosse team will host Loyola on Friday at 7 p.m. in the final regular season game for both teams.

Lehigh has an overall record of 8-4 (5-2 PL), and the Greyhounds are 7-6 (4-3 PL).

The Mountain Hawks will host a Patriot League Quarterfinal game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. If the Mountain Hawks win on Friday, they will have clinched a three-seed in the Patriot League Tournament and will play Lafayette. With a loss, Lehigh likely drops to the fourth seed and will play either Loyola or Navy.

If Lehigh loses and Navy wins, the Mountain Hawks would host Loyola again on Tuesday. If Lehigh loses and Navy loses, the Mountain Hawks would host Navy on Tuesday.

Lehigh was defeated 14-11 at Boston University on Saturday. A 22-minute scoring drought would end up being the difference on Saturday. Christian Mule' led the way with five points (2G, 3A). This was Mule's ninth straight game recording multiple points. He has scored at least one point in all 12 games.

Mule' and junior attacker Scott Cole sit at the top of the Patriot League with 62 points. Cole has scored 39 goals, which is the most goals in the Patriot League, and has dished out 23 assists. Mule' has put up 27 goals and tallied 35 assists, which is also the most in the Patriot League. Mule' and Cole are fourth in the nation in points per game (5.17).

Lehigh's starting attack unit has put up an impressive number of 165 points through 12 games. Justin Tiernan has scored 35 goals, which is the third-most in the Patriot League and the second-most on the team.

Lehigh is averaging 13.83 goals per game and giving up 11.42 goals per game. Lehigh currently ranks third in NCAA in shot percentage (34.8%).

Fifth-year senior faceoff specialist Mike Sisselberger needs 11 more ground balls to become the all-time leader in the Patriot League in ground balls. The Center Valley, Pa., native currently has 462 ground balls, and he would surpass Loyola's Bailey Savio's record of 472, set in 2022. Sisselberger also needs to win 10 more faceoffs to secure his 700th faceoff win of his career.

First-year Richard Checo continues to wreak havoc. He has caused 45 turnovers, which is eight more than anyone else in all of NCAA Division I men's lacrosse. He had two caused turnovers against Boston University. It marked the fifth straight game he's caused multiple turnovers.

Loyola is led by first-year Matthew Minicus. Minicus has scored a team-high of 38 points (29, 9A). The Greyhounds average 11.08 goals per game and are holding opponents to 12 goals a game.

Lehigh is 1-15 all-time against Loyola. The Mountain Hawks captured their first win against the Greyhounds in 2021 with a 10-6 victory in Bethlehem. Lehigh suffered a 13-12 loss last year in overtime. Kevin Lindley scored the game-winning goal for the Greyhounds.
