Lehigh improved to 3-1 (1-0 PL), while the Midshipmen dropped to 3-4 (0-1 PL). The Mountain Hawks handed the Midshipmen their fourth straight loss after they won their first three games of the season.
It was a defensive battle in the first half, with Lehigh leading 4-3 at halftime. A penalty on Lehigh with two seconds left in the first half helped the Midshipmen notch the first two goals of the third quarter since they were man-up to start the third quarter.

The fourth quarter would be the difference on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks responded with a 5-0 run to start the final frame. Justin Tiernan kicked off the 5-0 run with 13:02 to play in the fourth quarter. Lehigh's defense came up big and held Navy scoreless until the final 47 seconds of the game. All three of Lehigh's starting attackmen finished with five points on Saturday. Christian Mule had three goals and two assists, Scott Cole had two goals and three assists, and Justin Tiernan had three goals and two assists.Â
Despite Navy holding a 54-38 advantage in shots, only 26 of Navy's 54 shots were on goal, while the Mountain Hawks had 23 of their 38 shots on goal. Junior Nick Pecora had a career-high of 16 saves, and Pat Ryan recorded 10 saves for Navy.Â
