Mountain Hawks Host Rutgers to Begin Spring Season at Steiner/Steinberg Boathouse

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's rowing team will kick off its spring season with a scrimmage against Rutgers at the Steiner/Steinberg Boathouse on the Lehigh River in Allentown on Saturday afternoon.

The Mountain Hawks, originally scheduled for a race at Shamokin Dam on the Susquehanna River against the host Bucknell, Mercyhurst, Michigan and Rutgers has now shifted to a scrimmage with Rutgers on the Lehigh River at the Steiner/Steinberg Boathouse.

Following the scrimmage, the squad will head to Lewisburg to face Bucknell at Washington College on the Susquehanna River on Saturday, April 1. The team will then compete in the Murphy Cup hosted by Temple on Saturday, April 8 before heading to the Knecht Cup the following weekend in Cherry Hill, N.J. on the Cooper River.

After a weekend off, the Mountain Hawks will race in the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships in Occoquan Reservoir, Va. on April 30 and could qualify with for the Jefferson Dad Vails back on the Cooper River, which will take place on May 12-13.
