Lehigh to Play Army in Final Regular Season Game of the Year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. The Lehigh women's basketball team will play its final game of the regular season on Wednesday against Army at West Point, N.Y. Game time is set for 6 p.m. While the Mountain Hawks have clinched a home quarterfinal in the Patriot League Tournament on March  6, Wednesday's game will help determine what seed the Mountain Hawks will be in the tournament. 

Lehigh can be as high as the No. 2 seed and as low as the No. 4 seed. The Mountain Hawks are in third place right now with a 15-13 overall record (11-6 PL). The Black Knights are in fourth place with a 15-15 overall record (10-7 PL). 

The last time these two teams met was in the league opener on Dec. 30. The Mountain Hawks soared to a 90-68 victory. Frannie Hottinger led the way with 22 points, but it was a total team effort, with three other Mountain Hawks finishing in double figures. Mackenzie Kramer scored 18, Kaylee Van Eps had 13, and Jamie Behar tallied 11 points. 

Lehigh held leading scorer Sabria Hunter to just five points in the first meeting. Lehigh is 37-36 all-time against Army. Hunter is leading Army with 13. 7 points per game. The last time the Mountain Hawks played in Christl Arena, the Black Knights came out on top, winning 70-57. 

Lehigh's leading scorer, Hottinger had 24 points and 11 rebounds against Boston University on Saturday. That was Hottinger's 15th double-double of the season. She leads the league in scoring with 20.9 points per game. The senior is also 15th in the nation in scoring and 17th in the nation in double-doubles. 

Kramer was named a Patriot League honorable mention on Monday after averaging 23 points last week. Kramer ranks 12th in the nation in three-point percentage (43.9%). Kramer is second in the league in scoring (17.3 points per game) and first in the league in three-point percentage. 

Senior Anna Harvey is leading the league in assists (4.3). Harvey had 11 points and five assists against the Terriers on Senior Day. 

The Black Knights are on a two-game losing streak, with their last two losses coming to Boston University and Holy Cross. 

Wednesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with audio coverage on Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
