Mountain Hawks Eager to Compete at the 2023 Patriot League Indoor Championships

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh women's track and field squad is set to compete at the 2023 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Navy at the Wesley A. Brown Fieldhouse February 25-26.
Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's weight throw, men's pole vault and the 60-meter dash for the heptathlon. The first track event of the day will begin at 1 p.m. with the prelims for the men's 60-meter hurdles. Competition on Saturday will end at 6:35 p.m. with the women's 4x800-meter relay.
On Sunday, the women's shot put, men's high jump and the 60-meter hurdles for the heptathlon will kick things off at 11 a.m. with the men's mile being the first track event of the day at 12:10 p.m. The last event for the night will be the men's and women's 4x400-meter relay, followed by the awards ceremony set to begin at 4 p.m.

Field events during the championship will not be streamed, but up-to-date content featuring Patriot League multimedia journalist Maria Trivelpiece will be available by following @PatriotLeagueTV on Twitter.
There are 26 marks or times and two relays that current members of the women's track and field program hold on the all-time top-10 list.
Sprints
Junior Ashley Struck and first-year Gianna Mangili are the top two finishers for the Mountain Hawks in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash. Struck is first in program history with a time of 25.00 seconds in the 200-meter and ranks ninth in the league while Mangili recorded a time of 25.42 which puts her at 16th in the league. In the 60-meter dash, Mangili finished in 7.83 seconds for the fifth-best time in the program and 10th heading into championship weekend.
Struck has the fastest finish for Lehigh in the 400-meter dash in program history with a time of 56.67 and seventh in the league. First-year Grace Kennedy is in the top 15 in the league for the 400-meter event, with a PR time of 58.08 while classmate Abby Klebe recorded a mark of 59.45 seconds.
In the 60-meter hurdles, senior Ashley Griesmeyer sits fourth all-time with a time of 8.76 seconds and ranks fourth in the Patriot League while senior Chae Eun Kim is seventh in program history and eighth in the league with a time of 8.91 seconds.
Mid-Distance / Distance
Klebe is the top Mountain Hawk finisher in the 800-meter event with a time of 2:13.26, which stands eighth all-time in program history while senior Elena Perez-Segnini ran a time of 2:14.10 and sits in 11th in the league heading into the weekend.
In the mile, senior Andrea Miller and junior Christina Yakaboski have times within a second of each other, with Miller running the event in 4:55.51 for sixth-best all time and Yakaboski finishing in 4:56.50 which puts her seventh in program history. Yakaboski also sits in sixth all-time in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 9:50.70 to put her ranked 11th in the league.
Sophomore Savanah Beavers is the top performer for the 5,000-meter event with a PR time of 17:50.29 while juniors Andrine Larsen and Abigail Tenreiro follow behind with times under 18 minutes. Larsen finished with a mark of 17:53.75 and Tenreiro with a time of 17:59.39 and all three Mountain Hawks are in the top 15 in the Patriot League.
The 4x400-meter relay squad of Kennedy, Struck, Mauger and senior Lauren Powell posted the fourth-best time in program history with a mark of 3:55.17, which is ranked fifth in the league. The squad of Tenreiro, Klebe, Miller and junior Lindsay MacLellan currently sit in third in the league rankings with a time of 9:40.71 in the 4x800-meter relay.
Jumps
First-year Laura Reigle is the top performer in the Patriot League in the pole vault, clearing 4.00 meters, which is a personal best for Reigle. Sophomore Randi Conroy sits fourth in the league with a PR mark of 3.80 meters. Senior Avery Roze recorded a mark of 5.43 for a personal best, heading into the weekend in the top 12 in the league.
The sophomore duo of Keisha Modi and Lillian Mauger are fifth and sixth in the long jump, with Modi at a mark of 5.65 meters and Mauger at 5.64 meters.
Sophomore Casey Talamini-Kelemen is in the top five in the league for the triple jump, landing at 11.83 meters for a personal best while junior Nina Ciaclone has a mark of 11.61 meters.
In the high jump, senior Calista Marzolino recorded a height of 1.70 meters to tie for third all-time in program history with junior Kerry Perna registering a mark of 1.60 meters.
Throws
First-years Grace Aggen and Jen Whipple both recorded marks over 10 meters this season. Aggen hit a mark of 12.17 meters and ranks in the top 15 in the league while Whipple recorded a PR of 10.83 meters.
For the weight throw, junior Karina Roze has the best mark for Lehigh, throwing a distance of 14.61 meters. Senior Emma Harrington hit a mark of 14.11 meters this season for a PR and Whipple also recorded a personal best with a throw of 13.56 meters.
The Mountain Hawks will prepare for the ECAC Championship, which will be held in Boston, Mass. on March 3-5.
