Lehigh to Return Home vs. Hobart on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's lacrosse team is home again on Saturday for the second time in as many weeks as the Mountain Hawks will host Hobart at the Ulrich Sports Complex. Game time is set for 12 p.m.Â
All three starting attackmen for Lehigh recorded hat tricks in the 20-10 win over Fairfield last week. Senior Christian Mule' led the way for Lehigh with 10 points and was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week. Mule's 10 points tied his career-high. Justin Tiernan had five goals, and Scott Cole finished with four goals and three assists.Â
Fifth-year senior faceoff specialist Mike Sisselberger also earned Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week honors on Monday after he went 19-30 at the stripe against the Stags.
Hobart is also 1-0 this year after the Statesmen defeated Canisius 20-14 on Feb. 11.Â
Lehigh is 3-7 all-time against Hobart. The Statesmen have won the last six meetings. The last time these two teams met was last year on Feb 19. Lehigh suffered a 14-13 loss in Geneva, N.Y. The Mountain Hawks were able to claw back after being down by four goals in that game but fell just short. The last time Lehigh defeated Hobart was in 1904.Â
First year Richard Checo shined in his first collegiate game last week. The Virginia native led things on the defense with three caused turnovers. He also picked up three ground balls.Â
In his first career start, Nick Pecora recorded 12 saves and was named a Patriot League honorable mention.
Hobart's Anthony Dattellas had seven goals and one assist in the season opener last week. Dattellas was fourth on the team in points last year.Â
This will be Lehigh's last game at home until March 7. when the Mountain Hawks host Binghamton at 6 p.m. Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.Â
