BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's tennis team battled with Drexel but was ultimately unable to come out on top, falling 5-2 to the Dragons on Saturday inside the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center.

Drexel opened up the match by clinching the doubles point to take the early 1-0 lead. Sophomore Hamsa Javagal and first-year Bella Peters picked up a win during doubles play, defeating Drexel's Aida Garvia Mendez and Mya Fuentes 6-2 at the No. 3 spot.

During singles play, the Mountain Hawks continued to battle with the Dragons. Drexel picked up singles wins at the first three spots but Lehigh picked up a win at the No. 4 spot. Sophomore Allyce Gaborik picked up her first singles win of the season, defeating Drexel's Cristina Corte Gonzalez 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.

The Mountain Hawks will return to the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Sunday to host Howard at 2 p.m.
