Hurly Wins Second Patriot League Golfer of the Week Award This Fall

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Graduate student David Hurly captured his second individual tournament title of the fall season on Saturday, winning the Lehigh Invitational on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. On Wednesday, Hurly was recognized as the Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Week for the second time this fall.

Hurly topped a field of 78 players, Friday and Saturday at Saucon Valley with final total of two under par 142 (72-70). He erased a four-stroke deficit after Friday's opening round, shooting two under par 70 in Saturday's final round to earn the victory. Hurly's 36-hole total included seven total birdies and two eagles, one in each round.

In the fall season, Hurly shot par or better in eight of his nine competitive rounds. Last month Hurly claimed the first individual tournament title of his career, winning the Temple Invitational.

Hurly was the top performer for the Mountain Hawks, who topped a 13-team field to win its home invitational for the first time since 2017.
