
Lehigh Comes up Short Against Rider

BETHLEHEM Pa. - For a second straight day, the Lehigh men's swimming and diving team found itself in striking distance of picking up a win but would ultimately fall short in a 150.5-131.5 loss to Rider Saturday afternoon at Jacobs Pool.Â
Lehigh recorded eight first-place finishes against the Broncs. For the second straight day, it was the 200-yard freestyle relay team who started the team off strong. Elvin Lee, Jack Devilbiss, Aaron Williams and Alex Patti won with a time of 1:32.97.Â
While he did not win, Keagan Casey came in second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.14) and was just four tenths of a second from coming in first.Â
Connor Goodyear had an excellent showing on Saturday, recording two first-place finishes. Goodyear won the 200-yard butterfly (1:54.52) and the 500-yard freestyle relay (4:46.87). Goodyear was also on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:06.73) alongside Patti, Williams and Tim Norris.Â
Williams also had a couple victories. Williams came in first in the 100-yard butterfly (50.89) and the 50-yard freestyle (20.99).Â
Lehigh had a one-two punch in the 100-yard freestyle as Patti took first (47.07) and Norris took second (47.96).Â
The Mountain Hawks will look to get back on track when they take on Seton Hall on Nov. 4 in West Orange, N.J.Â
