BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's tennis will return home to host the Patriot League Tournament at Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts. The Mountain Hawks will open against Navy in the quarterfinals at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Lehigh enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed with a 5-10 overall record and 2-5 league record. In their final match of the regular season, the Mountain Hawks battled Hofstra before falling 4-3.

Sophomores Megha and Anushka Dania lead Lehigh in singles wins with eight wins each, competing in the No. 3 and No. 4 flight respectively. Both hold a 3-4 record in league play.

First-year Hasma Javagal holds a 7-8 overall record in singles, playing primarily in the No. 1 flight. Junior Junmoke James follows closely behind with seven wins in singles play this season, playing primarily in the No. 2 flight. The Patriot League lineup will also likely include senior Brenda Cuadra and junior Anna Harvey in the No. 5 and No. 6 flights respectively.

The Dania twins boast the best doubles record for Lehigh going 10-5 overall and 4-3 in Patriot League play during the regular season. The duo has primarily competed in the No. 2 flight. Likely competing in the No. 1 flight for doubles will be James and Javagal who hold a 5-10 overall record and a 2-5 Patriot League regular season record.

The Midshipmen hold a 21-5 overall record and have gone 4-1 in Patriot League play with their only loss against Boston University in the regular season finale. Lehigh fought hard against Navy earlier in the spring but ultimately fell 7-0 against the Midshipmen.

The Mountain Hawks will look to claim their first Patriot League championship in women's tennis. Lehigh lost 4-2 in the quarterfinals last year to Bucknell.

The Patriot League tournament will start Thursday at Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts between No. 8 Lafayette and No. 9 Holy Cross. On Friday, top seed Boston University will face the Lafayette-Holy Cross winner at 11 a.m. while No. 4 Loyola Maryland and No.5 Bucknell will face off at the same time. No. 3 Army and No. 6 Colgate will face off at 3 p.m. while Lehigh and Navy will face off at the same time.

Saturday's semifinal matches will begin at 11 a.m. with the second match beginning at 3 p.m. Should Lehigh beat Navy, the Mountain Hawks will face the winner between Army and Colgate. Sunday's championship match will start at noon.
