Women's Tennis Set For Two Match Weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's tennis team is prepped and ready for two huge league matches this weekend. The Mountain Hawks will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Lehigh will be back in Bethlehem on Sunday to host Lafayette at 11 a.m. in the Rivalry Presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute.Â
Lehigh comes in at 4-6 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks are coming off of two tough matches against Navy and Colgate last weekend. Â
Lehigh battled Colgate on Sunday at Lewis Tennis Center before falling 4-3. Sophomores Anushka and Megha Dania picked up wins during doubles play against the Raiders. The duo defeated Colgate's Emme Levenson and Rebecca Wolf 7-6, 6-3 at the No. 2 spot.Â
During singles play, the Dania twins picked up wins at the No. 3 and 4 spot. Junior Junmoke James also secured a win at the No. 2 spot, defeating Colgate's Emme Levenson 6-3, 7-5.Â
Last year, Lehigh defeated Bucknell in the regular season before falling to the Bison in the quarterfinals. The Bison are currently 9-6 on the season with their most recent win against Chaminade on March 14. Lehigh will look to defeat Lafayette for the 19th consecutive time on Sunday morning. The Leopards are currently 3-8 with their most recent win against Holy Cross.Â
