Hottinger, Kramer named to Preseason All-League Team; Mountain Hawks Picked Second

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's basketball team had two players selected to the Patriot League Preseason All-League team, the league announced Thursday morning. Senior Frannie Hottinger and junior Mackenzie Kramer were the two Mountain Hawks selected.
It's the first time since the 2011-2012 season that two members of the team were named to the Patriot League Preseason All-League team. That year, both Alexa Williams and Emily Gratch were selected.Â
The Mountain Hawks were also projected to finish second in the Patriot League, garnering 136 points and two first-place votes. Lehigh finished 19-11 overall last season, and the Mountain Hawks were 11-7 in league play. They return 11 players after losing Emma Grothaus, Clair Steele and Megan Walker to graduation.Â
This is Hottinger's second consecutive year being named to the Preseason All-Patriot League. Hottinger missed some time due to injury last season but still averaged 11.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Hottinger was a Patriot League second team all-league honoree, and she was also named to the All-Patriot League Tournament Team in 2021.
Kramer was the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2022 while picking up second team All-Patriot League honors. Kramer led the way for Lehigh last year, averaging 16.2 points per game. She also led the Patriot League in field goal percentage (45.9), 3-point field goal percentage (41.3) and 3-pointers made per game( 3.3).
Lehigh opens up its season against Stonehill on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. The game will broadcast on ESPN+.Â
