Women's Track and Field Return Home for Angry Birds Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team returns to Rauch Fieldhouse on January 15 for their annual Angry Birds Invitational Meet. The Mountain Hawks are set to compete against Binghamton, Monmouth and Sacred Heart.
The one day meet begins at 10:30 a.m. with the women's weight throw and will continue throughout the afternoon.Â
During their season-opener, Fast Times Before Finals, the Mountain Hawks had 19 student-athletes PR and six grab top 10 all time spots.Â
First-year student-athlete Melissa Cunningham finished her first collegiate meet with one PR and two Top 10 all time spots. She PR-ed in the 60m with a time of 7.827 and is now fourth All Time for Lehigh. Her second-place finish in the 200m has her tied for sixth all time with a time of 25.66.
Junior Calista Marzolino grabbed a new PR in Lehigh's season-opener. She finished first in the high jump with a final mark of 1.70m (5'7") and is now tied for third in Lehigh history.Â
Teasha McKoy did not disappoint in the first meet of her senior season. McKoy finished first in both the shot put and weight throw. She PR-ed in shot with a throw of 13.79m and is now the fourth all time leader.
