BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a strong 2021 season, the Lehigh women's lacrosse team announced its team awards on Tuesday. Graduate students Sondra Dickey and Alexandra Ladda were named Outstanding Athlete and Scholar-Athlete, respectively, while sophomore Julia Skillin garnered the Coaches Award.

Dickey earned Patriot League Midfielder of the Year in 2021, while also being named first team All-League for a third straight season. She ended the year as the team leader in goals (44), points (52), groundballs (39), caused turnovers (41) and draw controls (53). She became the first player in program history in the top 10 for career goals, assists, points, groundballs, draw controls and caused turnovers. Dickey caused 26 turnovers over her final six games, including 15 in three Patriot League Tournament games, to earn All-Tournament Team honors and become the program's all-time record holder for caused turnovers in a season. Dickey's six Midfielder of the Week awards and seven total awards in 2021 tied a Patriot League record for a season, while her 15-career weekly awards are a Patriot League record.

Ladda received Scholar-Athlete honors after being named All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League for a second straight season (no awards were presented in 2020). After posting a 3.76 undergraduate grade point average in marketing, Ladda owns a 4.0 GPA in graduate school (technical entrepreneurship). Ladda has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll every year, and the Dean's List almost every semester. Ladda was also named Lehigh women's lacrosse's Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2019. On the field, Ladda served as an anchor of Lehigh's defense, which finished third in the Patriot League in goals against average (9.81). Ladda and the D allowed seven or fewer goals in six of their last eight regular season games. She was also named to the Patriot League's All-Tournament Team.

Skillin received the Coaches Award for her attitude, improvement and service. Skillin's consistent impact goes beyond what's seen in a box score, as she's a high contributor of the Mountain Hawks' four programm values - loyal, relentless, proud and happy. On the field, she made the most of her first game action of the season, scoring her first-career goal on her first-career against Bucknell. She also recorded a groundball and shot on goal in the regular season finale vs. American.

Lehigh won nine of its final 11 games to finish the season 9-4, reaching the Patriot League Title Game for the first time since 2010 and winning two Patriot League Tournament contests for the first time in program history.
