Women's Tennis went to Easton and tamed the Leopards on Saturday, winning 7-0

EASTON, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team (5-3, 4-2) went to Easton on Saturday and tamed the Leopards of Lafayette by a 7-0 score. The Brown and White won all nine matches that were played on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Mountain Hawks have now on 18 straight against the Leopards.
Lehigh jumped out of the gates quickly by obtaining the doubles point against Lafayette. At the No. 1 spot. Paula Gonzalez and Leighanna Moskos won by a 6-3 score, while the No. 3 pair of Junmoke James and Anshika Singh also won by a 6-3 score. At the No. 2 spot, Ella Imhof and Casey Zhong defeated their opponents, 6-2.
Moving to singles, Lehigh dominated the six matches, winning five of them in straight sets. The two seniors, Gonzalez and Zhong, flexes their muscles and won both of their matches convincingly. Gonzalez's score was 6-3, 6-2, while Zhong defeated her opponent by a score of 6-2, 6-1. At the No. 2 spot, the sophomore James breezed by her opponent, 6-4, 6-3.
At the No. 3 spot, Imhof continued her strong season by picking up a nice 6-4, 6-4 win against the Leopards. Competing in the No. 5 slot, the junior Singh rattled off a win of her own, 7-5, 6-3. Lastly, Anushka picked up her first-career victory on Saturday, winning by a score of 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
