
Career Performance Lands Carnevale Patriot League Attacker of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh women's lacrosse sophomore Katia Carnevale scored a career-high eight goals in Saturday's Patriot League opener at American and for those efforts, was rewarded with the league's Attacker of the Week award on Monday. The eight goals came on just nine shots in the 12-10 victory.
Six of Carnevale's goals were go-ahead goals while the other two were equalizers, in a game that saw neither team lead by more than two. She was 4-of-4 on free position goals. Carnevale went on to score five second-half goals, including one stretch of five straight Lehigh scores. Eight total goals are currently tied for the third most goals in a game in NCAA Division I women's lacrosse this season. Carnevale also added two groundballs and three caused turnovers on Saturday.
For the season, Carnevale owns 13 goals and 15 points.
Graduate student Sondra Dickey was also recognized Monday, named honorable mention on the Patriot League weekly honor roll. Dickey finished Saturday's contest with five draw controls, three groundballs and three caused turnovers.
The Mountain Hawks are set to return home on Saturday to host Army West Point at 12 p.m. on ESPN+.
