Kramer, O'Brien sweep Patriot League weekly awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's basketball team swept the Patriot League weekly awards slate, as sophomore guard Mackenzie Kramer earned Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career, while first-year forward Meghan O'Brien was named Rookie of the Week for the first time, by the league's media and SIDs on Monday afternoon.

Kramer excelled in the Mountain Hawks' 82-39 win over Delaware State on Saturday afternoon, scoring a game-high 20 points on a career-high six 3-pointers, adding six rebounds and four assists. She shot 50 percent (7-for-14) from the field and notched her sixth straight game with 10 or more points with nine total so far this season.

O'Brien had herself a career afternoon in her third straight start, getting new career-highs in points (8) and rebounds (10) with three blocks in the victory over the Hornets. She finished just a bucket shy of her first career double-double and shot 51.7 percent (4-for-7) from the field.

It's the first time Lehigh has swept the weekly awards slate since Jan. 26 earlier this year when Mariah Sexe claimed Player of the Week and Kramer earned Rookie of the Week honors.

The Mountain Hawks conclude non-league play on Tuesday afternoon at George Washington at 2 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ (subscription required) with free internet audio on Lehighsports.com/watch with Matt Markus on the play-by-play call. Coverage from Washington, D.C. begins at 1:50 p.m.
