Micir, Women's Basketball joins Coaches 4 Change to pursue equality

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh women's basketball associate head coach Addie Micir has joined college basketball coaches across the country as a member of Coaches for Change (C4C).
Coaches 4 Change (C4C) is an organization that is founded by college basketball coaches who are dedicated to helping their student-athletes, their campus, and their communities. The mission of C4C is to provide a platform that engages, educates, empowers, and evolves the collegiate student-athlete on issues of social injustice, systemic racism, and the power of voting in the endless pursuit of equality. The 4 Pillars of C4C are to:
"I'm excited and happy to be a part of Coaches4Change, an organization dedicated to engaging, educating, and empowering young people," said Micir. "We as coaches have a unique opportunity to connect with and inspire our student athletes and communities daily. But more importantly, we have the opportunity to help our young adults find and use their voices and platforms as they aspire to shape a society in which everyone feels safe and valued.
"I'm looking forward to working with Coaches4Change, to continue learning and educating myself, and to take action in helping others become more educated voters and more empathetic and inclusive members of our communities."

- EDUCATE our fellow coaches & student athletes with historical information pertaining to systemic racism, social injustice, police brutality, and significant events that have shaped our country.
- EMPOWER our fellow coaches & student-athletes to inspire change through the power of voting.
- EVOLVE the minds of our fellow coaches & student-athletes to help foster positive changes within their collegiate and local communities surrounding the issues of racism & social injustice.
