Ashleigh Crawford Named Patriot League Runner of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three days after winning the Lehigh-Lafayette Dual Meet, Senior Ashleigh Crawford tabbed her first-ever Patriot League Female Runner of the Week award. Saturday's win was also Crawford's first-ever win in a cross country season.
Competing in her second race of the season, Crawford crossed the line first on Saturday morning with a time of 21:59.80. At the 6K race, Crawford was fourth at the halfway mark as they crossed the bridge in front of the supporters. As the race winded down, Crawford's dash to the end helped her secure the win. Lehigh also dominated Lafayette on the day, winning 16-46.
At Saturday's race, Crawford finished an average mile pace of 5:53.80.
In her first race of the season, Crawford paced the Mountain Hawks at the Harry Lang Invitational. Previewing the course for the Patriot League Championship, the senior registered a 15th place finish at Colgate with a time of 18:06.90.
Crawford will next compete next weekend at the CCSU Ted Owen Invitational.
