BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A pair of former Lehigh men's lacrosse standouts are set to compete in the premier season of the Premier Lacrosse League, which opens this weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Mike Noone '13 will play in the first-ever PLL game as his Archers LC face off with Chrome LC on Saturday at 1 p.m. Following that game, Dylan O'Shaughnessy '15 and his Whipsnakes LC face Chaos LC at 4 p.m. Both games will be streamed via NBC Sports Gold.

Former Johns Hopkins star Paul Rabil announced the formation of the PLL in October, which features a tour across the U.S. this summer with games in Boston, New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and San Jose. The PLL has partnered with NBC Sports Group with games this summer set for NBC, NBCSN, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and NBC Sports Gold (the network's digital streaming platform).

Noone has played four seasons of Major League Lacrosse (2014-18), playing in a career-high 13 games in 2016 followed by 10 games in 2017. Noone has 45 groundballs and 11 caused turnovers in his professional career, winning the 2017 MLL Championship with the Ohio Machine. He played all but two games of his career with the Machine, also getting into two games for the Florida Launch in 2018. At Lehigh, Noone was a two-time All-Patriot League honoree and honorable mention All-American as a senior, leading the Mountain Hawks in caused turnovers (26) in 2013, which was top 10 in school history for a single season. Noone also had 28 caused turnovers as a junior, finishing his career with 71 – still good for third in program history.

O'Shaughnessy played parts of three seasons in the MLL as well, getting into 14 games. After making his MLL debut in 2015 for the New York Lizards, O'Shaughnessy saw action in six games in 2016 (posting a goal, 12 groundballs and one caused turnover) then seven games in 2017 (recording one assist, 12 groundballs and two caused turnovers). As a Mountain Hawk, O'Shaughnessy posted 66 groundballs and 41 caused turnovers in his career, while adding nine goals and two assists. As a junior, O'Shaughnessy recorded 34 groundballs and 24 caused turnovers, and his eight goals and two assists were among the national leaders for long poles.

Both Noone and O'Shaughnessy won Patriot League Championships with the Mountain Hawks in both 2012 and 2013.

Recent graduate Craig Chick could also make his professional debut this weekend. The Dallas Rattlers draft pick out of Major League Lacrosse, the Rattlers open their season at home this Sunday, June 2 at 4 p.m. ET (3 p.m. locally) vs. the Charlotte Hounds.

Lehigh ended 2019 with a 9-8 record, advancing to its second straight Patriot League Championship Game and fifth in the last eight years. Despite facing several significant injuries, including to key players, the Mountain Hawks battled and went on to beat three nationally-ranked opponents and give themselves a chance until the very end.
