BETHLEHEM Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team will take on rival and league opponent, Lafayette, at home on Saturday April 13 at 3 p.m. for senior day. Lehigh will be honoring the contributions of its four seniors; Christopher Auteri, Sam Bencheghib, Bryant Born and George Cooper, prior to the rivalry match.

Last time out Lehigh lost a heartbreaker to league leader Army West Point, 4-2. Lehigh went up early, claiming the doubles point through two close contests, but the Black Knights were able to tie it up quickly in the first singles flight where Army's Myles Conlin defeated Lehigh's Harry Wang 6-1, 6-1 in the only singles match of the day that did not go to three sets.

Freshman Gary Fishkin, attained the sole Lehigh singles point in the sixth flight against Army's Grant Patterson in a three set match, but Army won three other three set matches to claim the victory. Fishkin is on a two match win streak and continues to be impressive in his inaugural season. Auteri and Cooper also enter the weekend with two straight singles wins. Freshman Zack Elliott and junior Jack Martin-Dyer lead the Mountain Hawks with eight singles wins this season.

Lafayette is currently 4-10 overall and 1-5 in the Patriot League. The Leopards have dropped their last two matches, falling at Delaware Sunday and Bucknell on Tuesday. Lafayette is now eighth in the nine team league, leading only Holy Cross (1-10, 0-7) in the standings. Lehigh, on the other hand, is currently fourth in the league at 3-2 behind Colgate, Navy and Army, but the Mountain Hawks do own a head-to-head win over the 2-1 Raiders. Lehigh is 10-7 overall this season.

In the Rivalry, Lehigh has won nine straight matches over Lafayette in men's tennis.

After Saturday's match, the Mountain Hawks will travel to Bucknell on Sunday to close out the regular season. The Bison are 10-11 overall and tied with Lehigh at 3-2 in the league. Bucknell is presently on a three match win streak, but will face Colgate and Boston University before Lehigh visits Lewisburg on Sunday.

Army will host the Patriot League Tournament April 18-21 at West Point, N.Y.
