Lehigh edges Loyola, 147.50-146.50

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's swimming and diving team picked up a hard-fought victory over visiting Loyola on Saturday, topping the Greyhounds 147.50-146.50 in Jacobs Pool. The Mountain Hawks won eight of the 16 events to improve to 7-0 all-time vs. the Patriot League foe, led by senior Walker Wilson's three individual wins and a relay victory.
 
Wilson finished in first in the 200 freestyle (1:41.05), 200 backstroke (1:51.80) and 500 freestyle (4:39.61). He was also part of the 200 free relay team, along with sophomore Glenn Lasco, freshman Caleb Eberly and junior Greg Giannella, that finished first in 1:23.98.
 
Also picking up a victory on Saturday was sophomore Owen Thomas in the 100 backstroke (51.56), an event that saw Lasco finish second (51.76). Lasco was first to finish in the 100 free (46.30) as well.
 
In diving, sophomore Addison Cochran won the 1-meter (250.94) with junior Tyler Keller not far behind in second (249.37). Meanwhile Keller captured the 3-meter (325.65) with Cochran in second (250.35).
 
Now 4-1 on the year, Mountain Hawks return to action on Friday, Nov. 22 when they host Lafayette at 6 p.m.
