Mountain Hawks Look To Stay Undefeated As They Travel To Boston University

Against Holy Cross, junior Cameryn Benz and senior Hailey Pascoe were the top scorers for the Mountain Hawks with Benz compiling 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting along with bringing In 12 rebounds. Her 12 rebounds were a career high and helped secured the first double-double of her Lehigh career. Pascoe had 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting along with three assists and four steals. Benz became the third Mountain Hawk this season to record a double-double along with recording the team's fifth of the season.
The Mountain Hawks have been showing that they can take on anyone, and the results are showing, with Lehigh currently ranked in the top-100 in multiple categories this year. Those include being ranked 16th in defensive scoring with only 54.7 points per game allowed. Lehigh is also ranked 37th in fewest fouls allowed and 55th in field goal percentage defense.
The Mountain Hawks continue to be lead in scoring by Buhr, who is averaging 12 points per game. Buhr also leads Lehigh with 6.6 rebounds per game and 28.7 minutes per game. Junior Hannah Hedstrom is the leader in assist per game (2.8) and steals per game (2.0)Â
Boston University enters, much like Lehigh, at 3-0 in the Patriot League. however, the Terriers have a 7-6 overall record. On their home court, the Terriers are undefeated with a 5-0 record this season. On the road however, Boston University is 2-6.
Most recently the Terriers escaped with a 64-62 overtime win at Loyola Maryland on Wednesday. With the Terriers holding a 22-point lead early in the third quarter, Loyola stormed back into the game with a furious second-half comeback, outscoring the Boston University women's basketball team 40-23 to force overtime.
The last four meetings have seen Lehigh and Boston University go 2-2, with Lehigh sweeping the Terriers in 2017 and Boston U. doing the same to Lehigh in 2016. So far through the season, Nia Irving leads Boston University in scoring with 12.9 points per game, with Payton Hauck close behind with 12.4 points per game. Katie Nelson currently leads the Terriers in assists per game with 3.5, steals per game with 1.7 and minutes played per game at 36.8.
