
Eight From Women's Tennis Land on Patriot League Honor Roll

PATRIOT LEAGUE RELEASE
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Eight members of the Lehigh women's tennis team were named to the 2018 Patriot League Women's Tennis Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league on Tuesday. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.

The Mountain Hawks tied their team record number of Honor Roll honorees with eight student-athletes honored for the second-straight season. 2018 also marked the second-straight season with 89% of the roster earning a spot on the Honor Roll.

Senior Briana Maravich capped off her career with the Brown and White by posting an impressive 3.91 GPA to lead the team in the spring semester. Junior Grace Lin (3.85) and sophomore Leigh Friedman (3.84) finished second and third, respectively, in the team rankings.

In addition to Maravich, Lin and Friedman, freshman Casey Zhong (3.61) also earned a spot on the Lehigh Spring Dean's List as they all achieved a GPA of 3.6 or better. With the addition of senior Christina Auyeung (3.57) and freshman Catherine Meighan (3.54), 67% of the roster achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

All three seniors, Auyeung, Maravich and Kirstin Godau, embodied what it means to be a true student-athlete as they capped off their careers as four-time members of the Honor Roll.

Lehigh posted the fourth-most Honor Roll honorees in the Patriot League, tying Bucknell, Holy Cross and Lafayette. Navy led the League with 11 members on the Honor Roll, followed by Loyola (10) and Boston U (9).
