
Lehigh Closes California Trip with Loss at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Mountain Hawks concluded their California road trip Wednesday with a 7-2 setback at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, ranked No. 3 in the Division III poll. Lehigh falls to 5-5 on the season, while the Athenas improve to 12-0.
Christina Auyeung claimed one of Lehigh's two individual victories on the day. The senior defeated the No. 13th-ranked player in Division III at the top flight in three sets, capped off by a 10-8 victory in the third set.
Auyeung gets back in the win column and improves her team-leading record to 7-3 on the season.
Briana Maravich also captured an individual victory on the day. The senior was matched up with the No. 47th-ranked player in Division III and defeated Anastasia Bryan-Ajania in straight sets.
Maravich snapped a one-match skid and improves to 5-5 on the season, including a mark of 5-3 at the sixth flight.
Lehigh will head back east and return home to face Loyola on Sunday to open Patriot League play.
