Lin Wins Fourth-Straight as Lehigh Falls at Azusa Pacific

AZUSA, Calif. – The Mountain Hawks opened their California spring break trip with a 7-2 loss Monday at Azusa Pacific, ranked No. 9 in the Division II poll. The Cougars improve to 9-2 as they snapped Lehigh's three-match win streak as LU falls to 5-4.
Azusa Pacific began the match by winning the doubles' point, but Lehigh managed to take a victory at the second flight. Paula Gonzalez and Sibel Can teamed up for the first time this season and posted an 8-5 victory over Toby Miclat and Kara Hinton.
Grace Lin started Lehigh on the comeback trail as she completed the first singles match with a straight-set victory over Hinton at the fourth flight. Lin improves to 5-2 at the fourth spot, 5-4 overall and is currently riding a four-match win streak.
Following Lin's victory, the Cougars went on to win the remaining five singles matches to wrap up the win.
The Mountain Hawks will take a day off and return to action Wednesday with a road match at Division III power Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The match is set to start at 1 p.m. ET.
