Hammerstone Earns Academic All-Patriot League Team Recognition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the first time in her career, Diana Hammerstone of the Lehigh women's cross country team has been named to the Cross Country Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league office announced Friday. The junior Materials Science and Engineering major owns a GPA of 3.69.
No stranger to awards, Hammerstone has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll the last two years for cross country and track and field. She was also named to the ECAC President's Honor Roll after the 2018 track and field season.
Throughout the year, Hammerstone was the No. 1 finisher among Lehigh runners in every race she ran, including an eighth-place overall finish at the Patriot League Championship at Bucknell this year. Her eighth-place finish at the championship helped her be named to the All-Patriot League Second Team.
Hammerstone and her teammates will go up against some of the top runners in the region, with the NCAA Regional Championship set for November 9.
