Mountain Hawks Selected To Finish Fourth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League office announced the preseason awards Thursday, which sees the Mountain Hawks tabbed to finish fourth in the preseason poll with 91 points.
Bucknell was the consensus favorite, receiving 154-total points, including 14 first-place votes. American (137 points) and Loyola Maryland (129 points) rounded out the top-three.
After being tabbed to finish seventh last year and finishing with a 15-15 overall record and a 9-9 league record which saw it finish fourth, Lehigh looks to continue the upward trend with a veteran group this year.
"Given the graduation of a strong senior class, I'm pleased with where we are picked in the preseason polls. This is a team who has much to prove and high expectations for what they can achieve, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to compete in what will be a highly contested league race with many quality opponents from top to bottom," said head coach Sue Troyan.
Lehigh begins the 2018-19 campaign from Stabler Arena of November 6 as they host Kutztown University.
