RESULTS
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Mounatin Hawks opened 2018 with a 184-102 setback at Patriot League power Army West Point Tuesday night.
Walker Wilson notched the first win of the night for Lehigh as he paced the field in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:40.77. Wilson has won the event five times this season, including his last four-straight.
Jimmy Davey captured the team's other first-place finish on the night as he posted a time of 1:58.58 in the 200 IM. James Mauk took second, Nico Lastauskas placed third and Tyler Christ claimed fourth.
Lehigh closed out the night by claiming the top spot in the 400 freestyle relay. Wilson, Max Goldenberg, Kian O'Brien and Greg Giannella combined for the winning time of 3:08.12.
Matt Feryo had a strong performance on the night as he placed second in 1000 free with time of 9:48.34. Wilson also added a second-place to his resume with a time of 46.12 in the 100 free.
The Mountain Hawks captured several points as they placed second, third and fourth in 500 free led by Wilson. Kevin Fleck placed second and Collin Hanlon came in fourth.
Also had a strong showing in the 100 butterfly led by Zach Tieke in second place with a time of 51.40. Davey placed third and Max Goldenberg came in fourth.
The Mountain Hawks will be back in action Saturday, January 20 when they return home to face Patriot League rival Bucknell at 1 p.m.
