Meet Information | Live Results | PL Performance Lists: Men - Women
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After returning to campus, the Lehigh men's and women's track and field teams are set to host the annual Angry Birds Challenge this Saturday at Rauch Fieldhouse on the Goodman Campus. The Mountain Hawks will be one of four team competing at the meet along with the Monmouth Hawks, the St. Joseph's Hawks and the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. The meet will be scored, with live results available at mitchelltiming.com.
The meet will get underway at 10 a.m. with the field events. Track events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 5,000 meter run, followed by the men's 5,000m. The day will culminate with the 4x400 meter relays, tentatively scheduled for just before 4 p.m. A complete schedule of events and other meet information is available here.
This weekend's meet will be the team's second since the holiday break. Last Friday, Lehigh sent a partial squad to the Wagner Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y., where Ryan Givens won the high jump, and Trevor Knowles (60m hurdles) and Jeffrey Kirshenbaum (3,000m) both set new PRs to finish third in their respective events. On the women's side, Brittany Curtin reeled in two top-five finishes, including a runner-up showing in the weight throw, where she hit an ECAC qualifying mark at 16.73m. Her performance earned her the first major weekly award of the season for Lehigh as the Rookie of the Week. Stacie Nadel also added a runner-up finish last weekend for Lehigh in the 3,000m.
Nadel, Knowles, Givens and Anastasios Mouzakis all earned honorable mentions in the weekly PL awards.
