
Black Knights Edge Lehigh to Remain Undefeated in League

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Mountain Hawks saw their three-match Patriot League sweep streak come to a halt on Thursday night with a 4-3 setback at Army West Point.
The Black Knights edged out Lehigh keep their unblemished 5-0 league record in place and improve to 17-6 overall. LU falls to 7-7 overall and is now 3-2 against Patriot League competition.
Army began the match by clinching the doubles point in convincing victories at the second and third flights.
Lehigh battled back and put up a fight in the singles competition. Christina Auyeung took down Army's No. 1 with a convincing 6-1, 6-2 victory. Auyeung moves into the team lead with 10 wins on the season as she is now 10-4 overall and 4-1 in league play.
The Mountain Hawks scored another victory at the third spot as Grace Lin came out on top in a three-set victory over Genevieve McCormick. Lin is now 3-1 in league this season.
Army's Allyson Hayley clinched the victory for the Black Knights as she conquered Cassidy Cruz in a three-set battle at the fifth flight.
Senior Jamie Campisi improved her personal record with a stellar performance at the sixth flight. Campisi defeated Yuka Lin in two sets to advance her record to 4-1 in the league and 9-5 overall.
Lehigh will return to action on Friday in a neutral site Patriot League dual against Boston University. The match will be played at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
