BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Delaware put an end to Lehigh's three-match win streak with a 7-0 victory on Sunday inside Lewis Tennis Center.
After claiming a 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles, the Blue Hens (4-4) needed a 7-6 victory at No. 3 doubles to clinch the point and another 7-6 victory to complete the doubles sweep over the Mountain Hawks (3-3).
Delaware's Sarah Komer improved her dual match record to 8-0 this season as she earned the first singles victory with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Sibel Can at flight No. 2. Brooke Pilkington knocked off Christina Auyeung at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 7-5 win to improve to 6-1 this season. Delaware clinched the overall victory when Annie Jaskulski defeated Briana Maravich 7-6(4), 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
The Blue Hens needed three sets in each of the remaining flights to complete the sweep over Lehigh.
Sunday's match concludes Lehigh's opening sixth-match home stand. The Mountain Hawks will return to action on March 13 with a matchup against Azusa Pacific to begin a two-match California trip. Lehigh will return home on March 22 to face Villanova at 3 p.m.
