Mountain Hawks announce spring schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh head women's soccer coach Eric Lambinus announced the Mountain Hawks' spring schedule on Thursday, which is highlighted by four home games in the month of April. The spring slate begins next Sunday (Apr. 2) when Lehigh hosts NJIT at 1 p.m.

Following the NJIT contest, the Mountain Hawks will travel to Saint Joseph's on Friday, Apr. 7 at 7 p.m.. Lehigh will host Kutztown on Thursday, Apr. 13 (7 p.m.), Messiah on Saturday, Apr. 22 (1 p.m.) and Drexel on Wednesday, Apr. 26 (7 p.m.). There will also be a Lehigh alumnae vs. alumnae game prior to the Messiah game on the 22nd.

The Mountain Hawks finished a memorable 2016 season with an 11-5-2 record, which included a school-record eight-game unbeaten streak to begin the season. Lehigh's seven-game winning streak also tied a school mark. The Mountain Hawks handed eventual league champion Bucknell its first loss of the season, a win that clinched Lehigh its first Patriot League Tournament berth since 2012. The team's No. 3 seed in the league tournament was its highest seeding since 2010.
