Lehigh cruises to 7-0 win over Kutztown

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team earned a dominant 7-0 win over visiting Kutztown Sunday afternoon inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks won every match to improve their season record to 3-4.
Lehigh claimed 6-0 wins in all three doubles matches as freshman Grace Lin and junior Cassidy Cruz began with a victory at the second flight before sophomore Christina Auyeung and junior Jamie Campisi locked up the doubles point with a win at the top flight. Sophomores Briana Maravich and Kirstin Godau followed with a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Maravich opened singles play with by cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kutztown's Vicki Norman at No. 4 singles. Auyeung followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the top flight of singles before Cruz clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Yasmeen Malik at No. 3 singles.
Lin continued Lehigh's dominance at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win against Jessica Burns. Campisi and Godau locked up the sweep with 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
The Mountain Hawks return to action next weekend against Saint Joseph's and Rider inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
