Lehigh hosts pair of local foes Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team will have a busy Saturday inside the Lewis Tennis Center when the Mountain Hawks welcome Muhlenberg at 11 a.m. and Kutztown at 4:30 p.m. for a pair of matches.
 
Lehigh looks to continue its strong start to the season as the Mountain Hawks carry a 4-1 overall record into Saturday's matches. Lehigh claimed a 4-3 win over Mount St. Mary's Sunday in the team's most recent action. Junior Colin Nardella clinched the match at No. 6 singles, while senior Jeremy Kochman, junior Ethan Bogard and sophomore Jack Petersen also earned victories in their respective singles matches. In addition to the win over Mount St. Mary's, Lehigh has also captured victories over Delaware (7-0), Saint Francis (Pa.) (5-2) and Drexel (4-3) this season.
 
Kochman, the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week, is 5-0 in doubles play while playing alongside junior Graham Lehman and senior Ricardo Prince. Kochman has also secured two victories at the top flight of singles. Petersen has gone 5-0 in singles action to lead the Mountain Hawks.
 
Muhlenberg is 1-0 this season after capturing a 9-0 win over Rutgers-Camden Sunday in the Mules' season opener. Kutztown will be making its spring debut when the Golden Bears travel to Bethlehem.
 
Following Saturday's matches, Lehigh will remain home to host Saint Joseph's and Rider next weekend.
