Women's Cross Country Named an All-Academic Team by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Lehigh women's cross country team has been named a 2015 All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). To be eligible for the award, all teams must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2015 fall semester.
Lehigh amassed a 3.349 team GPA this past fall semester and landed 10 of its student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Juniors Anne Birkenmaier and Amanda Ruschel led the Mountain Hawks and were just two of the 15 student-athletes league wide who achieved 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester. Grad student Shannon Wright also made the list for the fourth time in her career, having achieved at least a 3.92 GPA in each semester.
In total, over 200 Division I institutions from across the nation were represented on the list of women's cross country All-Academic Teams.
