
Lehigh wraps up West Point Invitational

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lehigh women's tennis team enjoyed a winning singles weekend at the three-day West Point Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at Army West Point's Malek Tennis Center. Nine Mountain Hawks combined to go 14-11 in singles play with sophomore Briana Maravich leading the way with a 4-1 record to come out on top of the third singles consolation bracket.
At the top flight, freshman Grace Lin and sophomore Christina Auyeung combined to go 3-3. Lin picked up a victory over Malin Leysen before falling to a player from Cornell, while Auyeung earned a pair of victories in the consolation bracket.
Junior Jamie Campisi won her first consolation match in second singles, defeating Caroline Koenigsfeldt of LIU Brooklyn. Classmate Cassidy Cruz beat Ariel Schuman of Marist in her first match before falling to an opponent from UConn.
After dropping her first match in third singles, Maravich rallied to win the next four to earn the consolation bracket title. Sophomore Kirstin Godau also earned a win in third singles.
Junior Jessica Graham and sophomore Abby Duddy combined to go 4-2 in fourth singles, each winning their first two matches to reach the round of 16 in the 64-person field. Junior Nina Larraza also represented Lehigh in the fourth flight.
The duos of Cruz and Lin and Auyeung and Campisi each picked up a win in the top doubles flight.

The Mountain Hawks will begin preparations to host the Lehigh Invitational next weekend as well as the Patriot League Kickoff from Oct. 16-18. The Mountain Hawks will concluded their fall season with the ITA Regionals Oct. 23-25.
