Mountain Hawks head to Delaware for Sunday showdown

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's soccer team will look to continue its solid start to the season when the Mountain Hawks travel to Delaware Sunday. Kickoff is slated 12 p.m. from the Blue Hens' Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium. Free video will be available on Hens All-Access.
The Mountain Hawks carry a 3-1 record into Sunday's contest and are coming off a 1-0 win over Cornell Monday. An own goal in the 50th minute was coupled with a strong defensive effort as Lehigh secured third shutout of the season. Sophomore keeper Joe Bogan tallied five saves en route to his second-straight shutout.
Four different Mountain Hawks have scored goals this season and senior Jamie Luchini leads the squad with three points behind a goal and an assist. Bogan is 2-0 with seven saves and has yet to allow a goal this season. Lehigh is 1-0 away from home after capturing a 1-0 win at Manhattan on Sept. 2.
Delaware enters the match with a 2-1-1 record. The Blue Hens defeated Seton Hall 2-1 on the road Wednesday night behind goals from Joe Dipre and Daniel Laguna. Guillermo Delgado has anchored the Delaware offense with a team-best five points behind two goals and an assist. Freshman keeper Blai Palmí has accumulated a save percentage of .722 with 13 saves and a 1.49 GAA.
Lehigh holds an all-time advantage of 36-15-5 over Delaware. The Mountain Hawks cruised to a 5-1 win in the last meeting between the two programs in 2009.
Following Sunday's game, Lehigh will head out to the western part of Pennsylvania to face Robert Morris Friday before taking on Saint Francis Sunday.
