
Sukonik named first team Jewish Sports Review All-American for fourth time

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - For the fourth time in as many years, recently graduated Lehigh attacker Carli Sukonik has been named a first team All-American by the Jewish Sports Review. Sukonik wrapped up her stellar career by finishing second on the Mountain Hawks with 46 points, including a team-leading 42 goals.
Sukonik joins student-athletes from schools like Northwestern, Stanford, Boston University and James Madison on the publication's All-America first team.
A Penn Valley, Pa. native, Sukonik tallied 42 goals and four assists in 2015 to finish her career with 158 points (140 goals, 18 assists). She was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team for a second straight season, tallying ten multi-goal games and nine hat tricks in her senior campaign. She wrapped up her career with a strong four-goal performance in the Patriot League Quarterfinals at Boston University. She also had four goals in a win at American which clinched Lehigh's second straight Patriot League Tournament appearance. Sukonik was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week early in the season after five points in the home opener vs. UC Davis followed by four points against Niagara.

The Mountain Hawks wrapped up a strong season highlighted by a seven-game road winning streak, a road win against Rutgers in front of a nationally-televised audience and the team's second straight postseason appearance. Lehigh's defense was especially strong as the Mountain Hawks finished the season 9-8 and earned the #5 seed in the Patriot League Tournament.
