BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior Harley Abrams has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League men's golf team for the second straight year, it was announced Friday. Abrams shot a final round 71 at last weekend's Patriot League Championship, which helped him earn a second team All-Patriot League spot. He tied for tenth place.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor, and only five student-athletes are voted to the team by the league's sports information directors.

Abrams' junior season is his final at Lehigh. As a result of college credits from high school AP classes, Abrams will graduate a year early and head to Northwestern next year pending formal acceptance for their graduate program.

A three-time All-Patriot League performer, Abrams earned a spot on the first team as a freshman as the Mountain Hawks won the Patriot League title. He was also a second team All-Patriot league performer as a sophomore. Abrams' low round of the 2014-15 season was a 69 at the Rutgers Invitational in September.

In the classroom, Abrams is a political science major and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.29. He will pursue his master's degree in sports administration at Northwestern. Abrams was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll following the 2013 and 2014 seasons and has received the Lehigh Faculty Athletics Council Academic Award for semester GPAs of 3.2 or above three times.

Matt Oshrine of Loyola was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's golf. Oshrine won the men's golf individual championship with a 215 (72-70-73), which was good for one under par. The Greyhounds won their second straight team title.
