BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Lehigh women's basketball team looks to bounce back from a tough overtime loss to undefeated American Wednesday night when the Mountain Hawks head to Holy Cross for a 1 p.m. Saturday battle. Free video will be available on the Patriot League Network as well as audio coverage on WLVR-FM (91.3) beginning at 12:45.

Lehigh came out on the short end of a 75-73 overtime thriller Wednesday night as first-place American walked away with a victory to remain undefeated in Patriot League play. Senior Katie O'Reilly scored a team-best 19 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists. Junior Kerry Kinek recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Sarah Williams turned out an all-around strong performance with 11 points, a season-high six assists and four rebounds. Sophomore Lexi Martins pulled down 12 rebounds and was one of four Mountain Hawks to chip in six points.

Lehigh finished the game shooting 44.1 percent (30-for-68) from the field, 40 percent (6-for-15) from three-point range and just 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from the free throw line. American shot 47.8 percent (32-for-67) from the field, including a 56.7 percent (17-for-30) mark in the second half, 15.4 percent (2-for-13) from downtown and 75 percent (9-for-12) from the charity stripe. Lehigh held a 44-31 rebound advantage, but committed 16 turnovers compared to American's 11.

The Mountain Hawks enter Saturday's game tied for second in the Patriot League with a 3-2 mark. Lehigh leads the league in a number of offensive categories, including scoring offense (74.2), field goal percentage (46.4) and three-point field goal percentage (35.3).

Martins leads the team with 15.8 points per game and a league-best 11.2 rebounds per contest. Kinek follows closely behind with 13.3 points and 8.4 boards per game. O'Reilly averages 11.5 points per game, including a team-best mark of 15.6 points per league game.

The Crusaders enter Saturday's contest with a 6-12 overall record and 2-3 Patriot League mark. Holy Cross is coming off a 67-53 loss at Army Wednesday night in its most recent action.

Army used a 16-4 run midway through the first half to gain the 14-point, 33-19 lead with 5:38 on the clock. The deficit would be too much for the Crusaders to overcome, as they did not get any closer than seven points for the remainder of the contest as the Black Knights captured a 67-53 victory.

Junior guard Lisa Mifsud totaled 12 points, four assists and a career-best five steals. Senior forward Emily Parker posted nine points and a team-best eight rebounds, while junior center Molly Hourigan tallied eight points and six boards.

Holy Cross drained 17-of-54 from the floor (31.5 percent) and hit on 5-of-15 from downtown (33.3 percent). The Crusaders canned 14-of-15 from the free-throw line (93.3 percent). Holy Cross held the statistical edge in rebounds (34-30) and steals (12-5), while the Black Knights led in assists (16-12) and blocked shots (5-3).

Lehigh and Holy Cross split the regular-season series between the two squads last year, with the home team winning in both contests. The Crusaders hold a 40-17 all-time advantage over Lehigh.

Holy Cross used a strong second half to down Lehigh 76-68 in the most recent meeting between the teams on Feb. 18, 2014 at the Hart Center. It was a one-point game at halftime, but the Crusaders shot 68 percent (17-for-25) from the field in the second-half to push past the Mountain Hawks.

Elizabeth Sharlow led Lehigh with 15 points and nine rebounds. Kinek followed with 13 tallies and eight boards, while Williams (11) and O'Reilly (10) also finished in double figures. Scott led four Crusaders in double digits with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Brisje Malone followed with 16 points.

Lehigh finished the game shooting 37.1 percent (26-for-70) from the field and 46.2 percent (6-for-13) from three-point range. Holy Cross finished 51.8 percent (29-for-56) from the field and 27.3 percent (3-for-11) from downtown.  Holy Cross recorded ten blocks compared to Lehigh's two.

Lehigh remains on the road Wednesday to face Navy at 7 p.m. before returning home to host rival Lafayette Sunday Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. in Stabler Arena.
