Lehigh women’s lacrosse announces fall schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's lacrosse team is set for a busy fall schedule beginning with a home tournament this coming weekend. The Mountain Hawks will also travel to tournaments at Penn State and Georgetown on October 11 and 18, respectively.
The fall schedule begins this Saturday (Sept. 20) as Lehigh welcomes Marist, Temple and Saint Joseph's to the Ulrich Sports Complex. The Mountain Hawks play Saint Joseph's at 10 a.m., Marist at 1 p.m. and Temple at 3 p.m.
Lehigh will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 when the Mountain Hawks head to Penn State where they'll face Drexel at 12 p.m., Cornell at 3 p.m., Duquesne at 3:45 p.m. and Rutgers at 4:30 p.m. All of Lehigh's games will be played in Penn State's indoor facility Holuba Hall. Syracuse will also be playing in the tournament. All games will either feature two 25-minute halves or one 30-minute half.
The Mountain Hawks wrap up fall play the following Saturday (Oct. 18) at Georgetown as Lehigh will play the host Hoyas at 10:30 a.m., James Madison at 12:30 p.m. and Denver at 2:30 p.m.
Lehigh finished 4-4 in 2014 and advanced to its first Patriot League Tournament since 2011. The team also defeated Boston University 12-11 in double overtime to hand the Terriers their first-ever Patriot League loss. Five Mountain Hawks earned All-Patriot League recognition with four returning in 2015.
