Final two women's tennis regular season matches cancelled

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The final two regular season matches for the Lehigh women's tennis team have been cancelled as the Mountain Hawks will now gear up for the Patriot League Tournament beginning Friday in Lewisburg, Pa.
Lehigh was originally scheduled to face Bucknell Monday at 3 p.m. in Lewisburg, but because the teams are likely to meet in a quarterfinal match on Friday, Monday's match would have had minimal impact on the league standings. Bucknell is the likely No. 4 seed with a 3-2 league mark, while Lehigh will be seeded fifth at 2-2.
On Tuesday, Lehigh was scheduled to close out the regular season with a make-up match at Saint Joseph's, but that match has also been cancelled due to expected inclement weather.
The Mountain Hawks enter the Patriot League Tournament at 7-9 overall. The tournament begins Thursday at Bucknell's Varsity Tennis Courts, with Lehigh and Bucknell expected to meet in a quarterfinal at a time to be determined.
