
Mountain Hawks finish strong at Wildcat Invitational

Final Results
MALVERN, Pa. – In its first event of the spring season, the Lehigh men's golf team finished 12th out of 16 teams at the Wildcat Invitational, which wrapped-up Tuesday at White Manor Country Club. The Mountain Hawks finished up their second round early in the morning after play was suspended Monday evening due to darkness before saving their best for last in the final round.
All five Mountain Hawks shot 77 or better in Tuesday's final round as Lehigh finished with a 303 for the round and a 309-316-303-928 for the tournament.
Sophomore Harley Abrams posted a top ten individual finish as he shot 73-74-74 to tie for eighth at eight over par 221. Abrams carded three of the four lowest rounds for the Mountain Hawks over the two-day event.
Lehigh's other round of 74 in the tournament was an opening round 74 by senior Alex DiClemente. In his final two rounds, DiClemente shot 83 and then 77 and finished in a tie for 50th at 224.
Junior Zach Allinson bounced back from an opening round 85 with two rounds in the 70s. Allinson shot 78 in round two and finished with a 76 to tie for 66th at 239.
The Mountain Hawks' other two scoring players were junior Carlos Kim and sophomore Johnny Heydt. Kim steadied the ship after a rough first round to tie for 76th at 86-81-77-244 while Heydt shot 77-93-76-246 and finished in 82nd place.
Drexel's Peter Crawford rode a second round 68 to medalist honors at one under par 212 (70-68-74). Crawford posted a four stroke video over Army's Peter Kim.
Columbia captured the team title at 311-297-284-892, one stroke ahead of the Black Knights.
The Mountain Hawks will be back in action at the Lafayette Invitational beginning Sunday at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, Pa.
