Mountain Hawks open play at Hoya Invitational

Round 1 Results
BEALLSVILLE, Md. – Day one of the Hoya Invitational was shortened to 18 holes due to Sunday night snowfall leaving the Members Club at Four Streams course unplayable Monday morning. Once play began, the Lehigh women's golf team posted a round of 351 in the opening round of the now 36-hole tournament.
The Mountain Hawks finished the day in 14th place out of 16 teams.
Lehigh's five competitors battled the remnants of tough weather conditions on Monday with junior Kelly Moylan leading the charge shooting nine over par 81 to sit in a tie for 19th place.
Senior Crystal Lee shot Lehigh's second lowest round, an 85, to tie for 46th, while junior Alyssa Scheyd is tied for 68th after a round of 91.
Lehigh's other two scoring players were freshmen, with Elizabeth McGarrigle and (redacted) both shooting 94 to tie for 76th place.
Penn's Amanda Chin shot two over par 74 to take the overall lead by one stroke over three players. The Quakers shot 309 and hold a four stroke lead over Michigan in the team race. Yale is in third place, one shot behind the Wolverines.
The Hoya Invitational concludes Tuesday morning with the final 18 holes from the Members Club at Four Streams.
