BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's tennis team will close out its fall season this weekend as the Mountain Hawks host the three-day Patriot League Kickoff. Lafayette, Army and Colgate are the three teams that will make the trip to Lehigh's Goodman Campus for the event.
Â
The event is the first home event for the Lehigh women, which will mark the home debut for Lehigh's freshman class, led by Christina Auyeung who played in the ITA Regionals last weekend at Yale, drawing a bye into the main draw before losing her first match in three sets.
Â
Sophomore Jamie Campisi competed in doubles with Auyeung at ITAs with the Patriot League Kickoff providing an opportunity for more match experience for the entire team against some of their toughest league opponents, in the final event of the fall.
Â
The women will begin play against Army on Friday with doubles matches at noon, followed by singles matches at 2 p.m. The Mountain Hawks will then play rival Lafayette on Saturday, with doubles at 11:30 and singles at 1 p.m., before wrapping up the weekend and fall season against Colgate at 10 a.m.
Â
The Lehigh women will wrap up play for the fall season this Friday through Sunday with doubles matches being contested inside the Lewis Tennis Center and singles action slated for the Ulrich Varsity Courts.
