Weiler Gains Fourth Patriot League Weekly Award of the Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior Elizabeth Weiler earned her fourth Patriot League Runner of the Week award Monday, following another strong performance at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday.

Weiler placed third out of 278 runners from 35 teams at the Princeton Invitational, running the 6K with a time of 21:18, just 50 seconds off of her Goodman Campus record holding personal best time of 20:28. This is Weiler's fifth-consecutive top-20 finish of the season, which led the Mountain Hawks to an eighth place team finish.

Previously, the junior ran the fastest time a Lehigh woman has ever run on the Goodman Campus cross country course, finishing in 17th place with a personal best time of 20:28 at the Paul Short Run. Weiler also finished in 17th place at the Roy Griak Invitational, and won individual titles in both the Lehigh-Lafayette dual meet and Lehigh Invitational.

Weiler looks to lead the Mountain Hawks to success when they host the Patriot League Championships on the Goodman Campus cross country course on November 1, beginning at 11 a.m.
