Lehigh men’s lacrosse ranked #17/19 in national preseason polls

Coaches Poll | Media Poll | 2014 Season Preview

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's lacrosse team came in at #17 in the USILA Preseason Poll and #19 in the Inside Lacrosse/Warrior Media Poll, as announced on Monday. The Mountain Hawks are one of three Patriot League squads ranked in both polls (Loyola and Bucknell). Lehigh opens its season this Saturday (Feb. 1) at Furman. Faceoff is set for 1 p.m.

Lehigh faces five teams ranked in the coaches poll: Princeton (8), Loyola (12), Yale (13), Bucknell (15) and Villanova (20). Army and Navy are also receiving votes.

Five opponents are also ranked in the media poll: Princeton (10). Yale (12), Bucknell (14), Loyola (16) and Villanova (20). Georgetown is receiving votes.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off two straight Patriot League Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. The last time a team won three straight championships was when Navy won four straight titles from 2004-07.
