BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Recently graduated Lehigh women's lacrosse standout Julie McBrien will play in the 2013 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/Under Armour North-South All-Star Game this Sunday, May 26. The game will start at 11:30 a.m. on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa. McBrien becomes the third Mountain Haw in as many years selected for the prestigious event.

McBrien follows Leigh Ann Torcivia last year and Lauren Dykstra in 2011 as Lehigh players invited to the game. Dykstra was named the game's MVP after scoring three goals to lead the South to an 8-6 win.

McBrien wrapped up a strong season, and career, in 2013 by posting career highs in goals (33) while adding three assists for 36 points to tie a career high. She paced the offense while adding a team-leading 24 groundballs and 25 draw controls along with 12 caused turnovers. McBrien earned All-Patriot League honors for a third time in her career.

The North-South Game features the top seniors in the nation from a wide range of schools including national powers like Loyola, Virginia, UMass and Penn. McBrien is one of only four Patriot Leaguers on the rosters, along with two from Navy and one from Holy Cross.

Lehigh wrapped up its season at 4-12 and 1-5 in Patriot League play, but a young team showed strong flashes. The Mountain Hawks dropped two one-goal finals in league play while enjoying impressive stretches against some of the nation's best.
